Jimmy May Jr is a 2017 MIF/3B, OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Upper Marlboro, MD who attends St Stephen's & St Agnes. Medium frame with solid, athletic present build; good strength as well as projection remaining. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.18 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly closed off stance, pinches back elbow to back hip in load, hands stay close to body through swing but does turn barrel and get the head out with good bat speed and strength, consistently drove line drives to the pull field with good jump off the barrel. Repeated swing well. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good footwork with balance and efficiency to both sides, quick feet charging in, fields cleanly and showed quick release across the diamond, quality arm strength clocked up to 84 MPH. Good student, named to 2017 Northeast Indoor-NJ Showcase Top Prospect List.
