Major Stockton is a 2022 RHP/SS with a 5-10 162 lb. frame from Big Spring, TX who attends Forsan ISD. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, gets tall on back side and loads weight in gather with a leg lift up to belt; some drop and drive down the mound and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into drive and finish. Full arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters release point, strides open with front side but worked on top of the ball and able to generate sinking life to fastball when down in zone, topped out at 72 mph. Worked around the plate and held velocity out of the stretch; flashed curveball at 61 mph with 11-5 shape. Fields the ball out front in the infield, shorter arm stroke on throws across, takes long strides moving to the backhand, gets on top of throws; upright release from the outfield, fields out front, can continue to create momentum through release with lower half, full arm stroke through the back. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; weight begins on back side at starts of load. Upper body dominant swing, stays short through the zone with hands and overall stroke; creates contact out front and best contact off the barrel when working with a linear plane. Excellent student.
