Wyvis Cook, Jr. is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and projects well moving forward with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and funnels into shorter arm action through the back side while working to a lower release point; gets rid of the ball quickly and comes out well, maintained release point and balance on the move. Righthanded hitter, begins with a medium hand set and a lower back elbow; loads weight onto back side before long stride moving into contact. Line drive approach at the plate and handles the barrel well for steady contact. Worked the middle of the field with line drive contact coming off, gets out of the box quickly and moves down the line. Very good student.
