Nate Beimel is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from St. Mary's, PA who attends St Marys Area HS. Recorded a 5.60 40-yard dash. Has a tall, lean frame with present athleticism and room to fill out physically. Primary pitcher with very quick arm speed and a bit shorter arm action. The delivery was deceptive and he worked quickly with an upbeat tempo. Creates good angle on his fastball, specifically to the glove side, and the pitch had short sinking life down in the strike zone. Reached as high as 85 mph with the pitch and mixed in a breaking ball that flashed occasional sweeping movement. Secondary first baseman where the arm strength played well. The throws have good carry across the infield with clean transfers as well. Showed barrel skills at the plate coming from a narrow, open stance. Hit the ball to all fields and gets some hip torque involved in the swing. Excellent student.
