Sammy Sabatello is a 2019 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Deerpark, IL who attends Barrington. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.21 seconds. Hits from wide-spread stance with relaxed set, large leg lift trigger, lots of strength in swing, swings it hard and creates leverage off of front side, wants to get the ball into the air with authority, has significant pull side power already and projects for more. Worked out at 1st base, has athleticism around the bag, biggest tool defensively is his arm strength, clocked up to 86 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, lots of moving parts to delivery with deception, short arm stroke with short stride downhill, fastball worked 73-79 mph with solid depth to curveball as well, did a good job throwing strikes. Named to 2018 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, very good student.
