Jack Norkus is a 2022 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Manasquan, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Medium build with the beginnings of some present strength. Works from a full windup on the mound with deliberate step by step mechanics and an over the top arm slot, repeats his delivery well. Fastball worked mostly in the 79-81 mph range, topped out at 83 mph when he reached back, worked efficiently with his fastball and threw strikes consistently. Curveball was a solid second pitch with good power and spin and some 12/6 downer depth. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Plays the infield when not on the mound and shows solid athleticism, has compact mechanics and a quick transfer on his throws, feet are active and he showed some range, especially to his left. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a high hand load, gets the barrel out front on time and will continue to develop as a hitter with additional strength in his hands. Good student.
