Rhett McCaffety is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair HS. Recorded a 6.87 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with some strength present on the build. Primary lefthanded pitcher with an over the top arm slot and smaller arm circle. Online delivery with a slower tempo and remains under control. Fastball topped out at 86 mph and cuts it to the glove side. Good amount of strikes with the fastball and can vary tempo to create deception. Sharp curveball in the mid-70s with good shape and bite to it. Showed potential for a changeup too and has a strong repertoire with pitchability. Arm strength plays well from secondary position of the outfield. Lefthanded hitter with a quiet load and strength out in front. Hands work well with a slightly open stance to start. Good strength in his wrists and can get the barrel out in front to work to the pull side gap. Named to the Sunshine South TP List.
