Joshua Kraus is a 2018 C/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Palatine, IL who attends Wm Fremd. Large frame with a solid, athletic frame and present strength. Ran a 7.18 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, gains some ground while working out of crouch to a taller throwing position. Clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transfer. Compact, high energy arm action at release topping at 67 mph to the bag, best workout pop time of 2.32. Right handed hitter with a upright, balanced stance and toe tap trigger. Hands load to a deep position with a slight bar. Hands launch on a direct path to contact with good quickness. Shows a line drive plane through extension with solid fluidity. Repeats swing mechanics well with a mid-field approach,producing solid balance throughout. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and mechanical refinement. Good student as well.
