Ronny Taveras is a 2021 2B/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Salesian. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward, some present strength to frame. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary middle infield, fields the ball out front, works through it well and shows balance and body control on the charge, gets on side of throws at times, shows carry across the diamond when on top. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Keeps hands inside in swing, upper body dominant swing, projects with additional lower half incorporated into swing. Looks to lift at point of contact, creates best carry to pull side gap when squared, full path through the zone, occasionally gets around the ball at contact. Very good student.
