Micah Robinson is a 2007 2B/3B/SS from DeLand High School in DeLand, FL, with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame. Defensively he has quick feet with good actions and nice hands. He has a short arm action like many second baseman, but shows good arm strength across the diamond that would allow him to play SS if needed. During the workout and showcase games, Robinson showed a nice backhand and solid range. He isn't flashy, he just makes all of the plays. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base and is short to the ball. Robinson likes to pull the ball, but will use the entire field. When he does pull the ball, he swings hard and shows strength in his swing. He tends to pull off balls on the outer third, but he showed the ability at times to stay in and hit to the opposite field. Robinson is a solid player that is also a very good student.
