Bennett Hanks is a 2021 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Episcopal HS. Bennet is an athletically advanced player who shows a sound, fundamental skill level and twitchy actions. Academically, Bennett is a recognized scholar. A primary outfielder, he shows great anticipatory ability. He reads the ball off the bat well and positions quickly and confidently. He moves through the fielding motion with gathering momentum which allows him to transition quickly. His smooth fielding action leads to a throwing motion that is sound and highlighted by his strong and accurate arm that produces throws at 85 mph. His throws hold their plane and are firm and true. At the plate, Bennett uses a wider base at the ready. He incorporates a mid level leg lift to move his weight through the swing operation. He is more inside-out with his swing plane and has a contact first, middle of the field, mentality. He has a feel for the barrel and gets to a solid contact point routinely. Bennett possesses sound, mature ability and can certainly advance to the next level with confidence.
