TJ Curley is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-2 157 lb. frame from Sanford, ME who attends Sanford. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, higher transfer into a short arm action, upper body dominant release and gets uphill at times, short stride through the ball, projects with additional lower half incorporated. Graded out best on the mound in this look, chest high leg lift at start of delivery, big stride down the mound working to a lower three-quarters release point. Works quick and attacked hitters while filling the zone; fastball topped out at 78 mph and mixed both a curveball and changeup. Changeup showed nice fading life up to 68 mph and was able to get hitters out front. Left-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Long swing path through the zone, creates some lift when getting the barrel out front, tends to open front side early in swing but shows a handle for the barrel, projects with strength. Excellent student.
