Luke Dotson is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Mt Paran Christian. Long and lean high waisted build. Works from the stretch with a deep arm takeaway in back, high front side that he pulls down hard, extended 3/4's arm slot, has deception to his mechanics. Fastball worked up to 91 mph, was consistently down in the zone with his fastball, gets some cutting action at times. Change up was a solid second pitch for him, maintains his arm and body speed well and creates big fading action at times. Still developing his arm speed and consistency on his slider and this will be key to his future development. Very good athlete, runs a 6.74 sixty and showed nice left handed bat speed during batting practice. Excellent student.
