Diego Rivera is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-2 240 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded an 8.61 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with a good amount of strength on the build. Primary catcher who starts with a higher stance. Makes good accurate throws down to the bag recorded up to 72 mph. Feet work well through release and made throws to the correct side of the bag. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a longer swing. Has some effort to the stroke on an uphill swing plane. Short, compact load and looks to elevate the ball. Good student.
