Wesley Alvarado is a 2019 OF with a 5-7 133 lb. frame from Aibonito, PR who attends Colegio Angel David. Recorded a 6.92 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with some strength to the build and projects nicely with added strength. Primary outfielder with quick feet and works through the ball well. Very short arm action with a tight arm slot at release. Arm strength recorded up to 83 mph with carry out of the hand. Good athleticism to actions and arm plays nicely. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and good hand quickness to the baseball. Swings with intent and has a big stride onto contact. Rotates nicely through the lower half and has a line drive swing plane. Works on a line to the pull side and power will improve with additional loft to the swing plane. Good student.
