Grayson Jones is a 2017 3B/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Highland Park HS. Jones has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He showed good footwork on the infield with solid defensive actions. He fields the ball out front well and has nice hands. He has an idea of what he's doing defensively on the infield with good arm strength up to 83 MPH. He also worked out in the outfield and at 1B with developing actions in the outfield. He starts with a high hand set at the plate and has a fairly quiet approach. Jones has some length to his swing and made middle of the field contact. He has a rotational swing and showed some barrel skills. Jones pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action with some arm speed. The ball comes out of his hand clean and he his delivery works. Jones stays back well and he pitches with some effort. He throws an 11/5 curveball with some shape and spin to it. Jones gets some cut on his fastball with some down plane. Solid two-way player. Excellent student.
