Chase Nufer is a 2018 OF/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Gainesville, GA who attends Forsyth Central. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; very projectable frame into the future. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, keeps hands inside the ball into inside-out swing path, shows some quickness to hands. Short, compact path, gets onto line drive swing plane and shows ability to work back through the middle consistently while also able to work to all fields. Worked out defensively in the outfield, shows good footwork with balance when working to the ball, fields cleanly out front and shows accuracy on throws to target, clocked up to 76 MPH. Outstanding student.
