John Veraja is a 2018 3B/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Orangeburg, NY who attends Tappan Zee. Large frame with strong, solid present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds. Leans back into load when hitting with smaller leg lift, minimalist hand load, middle-field approach with consistent barrel, firm line drives up the middle, ability to cover the plate and work to all fields. Quickness to actions in the infield; solid range with clean feet, fields cleanly, good carry on throws up to 80 mph. Also pitched; methodical delivery with long arm circle, throws from high 3/4 slot, fastball worked 77-81 mph with good plane and run. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good command. Very good student.
