Aaron Schur is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 5-10 152 lb. frame from Greenwich, CT who attends Greenwich High School. Medium athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 5.29 40-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and comes through the ball well, shorter arm action through the back with extension out front, shows ability to throw from multiple arm slots accurately, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of stretch and throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Leg lift slightly up past belt, limited effort at release, works arm side with fastball and topped out at 78 mph with short running life from slot. Attacks hitters with fastball and works down in zone, mixed in a changeup with fading life down in zone and a short 11-5 curveball for strikes, induced ground ball contact. Righthanded hitter, pulls hands back at start of swing but shows quickness to them with balance in swing. Line drive swing plane with feel for the barrel, contact approach with comfort working to the opposite field, lien drive contact coming off. Outstanding student.
