Chase Wells is a 2019 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Williams Field. Medium build, athletic and projectable frame with plenty more room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.22 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, carries weight and momentum to the baseball and through release, smooth fielding actions with a good first step, good arm strength with carry topping out at 87 mph from the outfield. Also took reps in the infield, waits back on baseball, moves well laterally with balance, developing hands and glove work, showed quickness to ball on slow roller with fluidity. Also pitched, compact delivery, created good back leg drive, clean and loose arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot, slight crossfire delivery, filled up strike zone with fastball that sat in the low-80s, mixed in a curveball with short downward break.
