Ryan Jordan is a 2018 RHP/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Finksburg, MD who attends Chapelgate Christian Academy. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable and room to fill with additional strength. Ra na 5.22 40-yard dash. Primary righthander pitcher, begins with a small side step into delivery with a leg lift up past belt. Gathers on backside and has some drop and drive towards the plate while landing on line, quick arm action through the back working to a three-quarters arm slot. Some effort at release to fastball, topped out at 78 mph with consistent running life at the bottom of the zone, ball comes out clean and shows some whip to arm action. Maintains arm speed and slot well on changeup at 72 mph, good fade down with nice velocity differential. Has a feel for curveball and throws it for strikes, 11-5 shape with short depth, mixes well. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow, stays balanced through swing with some downward plane, works the middle of the field and stays through the ball. Good student.
