Jake Schmeling is a 2017 C/1B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Menomonee Falls, WI who attends Menomonee Falls HS. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, busy high hand load, loose rotational upper body swing, has some bat speed and strength at contact, has no load or shift with his lower half, needs some stride and rhythm to use his natural strength and hitting tools, has potential with adjustments. First base tools defensively, has a long and loose arm action and makes accurate throws. 7.68 runner. Very good student.
