Garrett Gleason is a 2019 1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Flint, MI who attends Carman-Ainsworth HS. Nice athletic body, long and loose with lots of physical projection. Smooth athletic actions defensively around the first base bag, has sound footwork and one step quickness, feet stay active and balanced, arm is long and loose with with good on line carry.. Right handed hitter, wrapped barrel start, rises up into contact with an upper half rotational swing, can improve use of his lower half in generating bat speed and getting directional to contact, line drive swing plane with middle of the field contact. Looks to have the athleticism to keep improving as he matures physically. Very good student.
