Ricardo Yoquigua is a 2017 1B/LHP with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Chula Vista. Medium-Large frame with slender present build; body projects well to add more strength moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Hits from open, narrow stance to start; coils front hip into load then uncoils well into stride from leg lift trigger. Longer stride forward. Shows solid ability to make good contact with consistency; did good job of using whole field. Shows good agility at 1st base, moving well to both sides and showing comfortable footwork around the bag. Moves well to ball in the OF, transfers well and shows solid arm that works well. Pitched as well, loose arm action to three quarters slot. Ball comes out of hand clean, FB worked 71-73 MPH. Online delivery, will unlock more velocity with better usage of lower half. Showed solid 1/7 CB with good shape and depth. Very good student.
