Joey Baker is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Cuero HS. Mediuym frame with a lean build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.22 60 yard dash. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a closed stance and a toe tap trigger. Swings on a line drive swing plane with good core strength. Gets the barrel moving through the zone with contact to all fields. Moves well on the bases, quick and aggressive jumps. From the outfield, generates good momentum through the baseball and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Developing arm strength and carry with accurate throws. On the mound, throws from a lower 3/4 arm to side-arm slot. Fastball generates good run and curveball showed depth. Developing use of the lower half. Good student.
