Brody Thompson is a 2016 OF/ with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Bloomingdale, IL who attends Lake Park. Solid build with smaller, athletic frame. Slightly open stance. Simple lower half actions. Creates coil with his top half and hands. Swing path creates lift with some present strength. Will develop more bat speed with continued strength. Ball carries with tight backspin when swing is on time and looks to work the ball gap to gap. Clean, fluid mechanics to and thru ball in outfield. Gets rid of ball very quickly with a compact arm action and smooth release. Had some loft on throws from outfield. Topped at 72 mph. Pitched as well, showing an overtop arm slot with short arm action. Can get to both sides of plate with fastball when consistent with landing spot. Fastball showed some tailing action at times ranging from 66-70 mph. Topped at 72 mph. Able to change speeds with a curveball showing 1/7 action. Curveball topped at 58 mph. Tools project for outfield. Good Student.
