AJ Trias is a 2018 1B/3B, OF with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Walnut Creek, CA who attends Monte Vista HS. Recorded a 7.55 60-yard dash. Large frame with present size, strength, and physicality already on the build. Primary first baseman with good turns and funnels cleanly. Pivots well and made accurate throws across the diamond. Slightly open and spread even stance at the plate with a high hand set and high back elbow. Swings with intent and flashes good bat speed upon the swing. Looking to drive the ball hard in the air and the ball jumps off the barrel well. Compact swing path with a two-handed finish and batted balls showed good carry when the swing was on time. Great student.
