Angel Alvarado is a 2022 SS/3B with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Freedom. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Posted a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves feet well to the ball, clean glove actions and fields the ball out front, shorter arm stroke through the back and can drop low when needed, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, nice feel for the barrel from both side. Most comfort from the right side at present, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; full swing path with both looseness and quickness through the zone, linear plane with consistent barrel to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Begins with an even stance from left side, simple and repeatable stroke with a linear path, shows quickness to hands and utilizes a contact approach, worked to the middle ofthe field. Good student.
