Ryan Gregory is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Graniteville, SC who attends Fox Creek Charter. Large frame with very good strength throughout body; still projects some as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary pitcher, has good balance in delivery throughout, online with hips and shoulders and gets downhill well as a result. Hip coil at balance point, uncoils well and gets online. Throws from mid three quarters slot, hides the ball well until release, fastball worked 77-81 MPH with solid life to arm side on pitch. Has good feel for his curveball in low 70's with good depth, understands sequencing and will pitch backwards, threw strikes consistently. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with low hand set, rotational swing with inside-out hand path, toe tap timing mechanism, body projects well for power potential. Worked out in the infield, fields cleanly at ball with soft hands, transfers cleanly and gets into crow hop mechanics efficiently, solid arm strength across the diamond on accurate throws up to 82 MPH.
