2015 California Underclass Showcase
Alex Andranovich is a 2017 SS/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Poway. Medium frame with excellent athleticism throughout and good projection remaining on body. Ran well, posting a 6.87 seconds 60 yard dash. Hits from narrow base with front hip coil into load, quiet body before swing, drops hands into load and wraps bat a bit but comes out of it quickly and cleanly. Good hand speed with clean bat path, rotates well, good line drive ability to all fields with developing pop. Worked out defensively both in OF and IF. Moves to ball well in the OF with athleticism and fluidity, fields cleanly and shows excellent arm strength up to 90 with quick release. Soft on feet in the IF with good lateral agility, picks it cleanly to both sides and gets rid of it quickly, IF velocity up to 83 MPH across the diamond. Named to 2015 California Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
