Daniel Mumphery is a 2017 OF/1B, 3B with a 5-11 220 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Henrico High School. Has thick build with broad shoulders. Hits from a square stance with a high back elbow. Starts with hands back and uses small load to start swing. Line drive swing plane with carry to the pull side. Has strength in swing. Hands are loose and gets barrel to ball with bat speed. Shows raw power. Pretty simple approach at plate. Defensively, primary OF, short arm action, has strong lower half, works through ball. On the INF, accurate throws across, late getting glove down, short sure strides on move. Good Student.
