Colby Farris is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Berkeley Springs, WV who attends Berkeley Springs High School. Younger player with a lean, slender build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically. Primary catcher, side saddle start, developing transfer skills, and accuracy to the bag. Raw arm strength and posted a workout pop time of 2.40. At the plate, switch hitter who repeated from both sides. Started with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing path with with developing rhythm at the plate. Developing barrel feel with raw bat speed. Contact will improve with additional lower half in swing.
