Nick Del Russo is a 2017 C/RHP with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends St.Rose High School. Lean athletic build with room to fill out and gain strength. Hits from a slightly open stance with a wide base. Small leg lift trigger, short swing path to the ball with good extension through ball. Good fluid swing, hits to all fields and stays inside ball well. Solid mechanics in swing. Defensively, low set up, receives ball out front, short and compact arm action, gains ground and gets over front side. Solid carry on throws with good accuracy. Also itched, high 3/4 to over the top arm slot, shorter arm circle through the backside, 12/6 curveball with good depth and used it frequently. Held velocity well from stretch. Good Student. Named to Top Prospect List.
