Dane Groce is a 2018 C/OF, UT with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Coatesville, PA who attends Coatesville Area High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low, crouched stance behind the plate and gains short ground with lower half coming out, quick and clean transfer out of glove, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy down to second base, 2.06 best pop time, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slight crouch and even stance at the plate with a high back elbow and medium hand set. Employs a short leg lift trigger for timing, full swing path through the zone and shows looseness to hands. Linear plane to point of contact, gets the barrel to the ball well with occasional natural lift out front. Good student.
