Rafael Reyes is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Salesian. Large frame with a sturdy, physical build. Ran a 8.39 second sixty yard dash. Primary Firstbaseman, kept the baseball in front of him as he gathered it cleanly. Feet underneath him at all times. Accurate arm as he threw it 79 MPH across the diamond. Secondary Righthanded Pitcher, working from a small rocker step and lifts above the waist. Slight pause at the top and then turns to drive. Smaller arm circle in the back as he delivered from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball showed good command as it was up to 81 MPH. Mixed in a 12-to-6 curveball that he landed for strikes as well. Righthanded Hitter, starting from an even, upright stance. Bat speed showing as he flashed a steep path. Got extended and proved to have some jump in the barrel. Simple approach as he looked to drive the baseball gap to gap. Good Student.
