PG Grade: 10
Brett Morris is a big, good looking athletic 1B from Valrico, FL. He has some very good MLB tools with decent running speed and a very good arm. He has a ready made MLB body and he’s very strong. He shows excellent hands and really moves around the bag smoothly. He’s MLB average defensively. All the above pales in comparison to Morris’ hitting ability. He projects upper deck power potential from the left side. His swing could stand to loosen up a bit, but there is no denying his hitting ability and potential. He swung the bat very well against 92 mph fastballs in Tropicana. Brett could stir up some serious draft interest this year and for sure he’s a potential highest caliber college player. He’s a very interesting big strong player and an excellent student.
