Brown Simmons is a 2018 IF/MIF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Montgomery, AL who attends The Montgomery Academy. Simmons has a lean build with room to fill out and add strength. Hits from a square stance and high back elbow. Simple leg lift trigger, compact line drive path and plane with lift. Good balance and extension through out swing. Showed bat speed and hit to all fields, power potential is there with more lower half development. Defensively, athletic actions with quick twitch footwork. Has clean transfer and release from 3/4 arm slot. Showed ability to change slot on move. Outstanding Student.
