Ethan Jeske is a 2019 SS/RHP/C with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Murphy, TX who attends Wylie HS. Medium athletic build, has some strength and looks bigger than listed. 6.79 runner, very versatile defensive player who can literally play all over the field and can probably play 9 positions. Could develop as a primary catcher if given the repetitions, is quick behind the plate and can make difficult accurate throws. Shows range in the outfield and infield and gets good carry on his throws as well. Right handed hitter with a good shift into contact and a fluid and aggressive swing, showed bat speed and loose extension out front, solid overall swing mechanics, took some really good swings in the games and drive the ball with authority. Also pitched, long and deep arm action with a rock and fire delivery, fastball topped out at 83 mph with big downhill angle from an over the top arm slot, big slow curveball for strikes, was very effective. Athlete who will get better as he gets stronger. Good student.
