Devin Barry is a 2006 catcher from St. John's Prep in Boxford, Massachusetts, with a big and strong 6'4"/200 pound frame. A right handed hitter, Barry hits from a tall and open stance with a toe tap trigger. He has quick hands at the plate with good raw power. He makes consistent solid contact and has strength and leverage in his swing. Devin showed an accurate arm from behind the plate with a solid arm at 75 mph. He communicates well and is a leader on the field. Barry is a good student.
