Sean Conners is a 2018 SS/2B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Poquoson, VA who attends Poquoson. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for continued strength while maintaining athleticism. Primary shortstop with clean, sound footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels baseball from a slightly deeper position and works through transition cleanly. Primarily released from a high three-quarters slot, but flashed the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance. Compact, direct hand path to contact and works through extension on a slightly lifted plane. Generates bat speed by aggressively firing hips to contact and utilized a mid field approach. Generated best bat speed and strength at contact when keeping front side on at contact point. Excellent student.
