Zachary McKenna is a 2020 C/1B, OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Crown Point, IN who attends Chesterton HS. Medium athletic build, has some strength for a freshman with lots of room and time to keep growing. Very good runner, 6.94 in the sixty, has flexible and athletic actions behind the plate, stays low and presents a good target, arm strength still developing but makes accurate throws to the bases, projects well physically behind the plate as his arm strength improves with age. Right handed hitter, spread open stance, busy lower half load with a big stride into contact, swings hard and has some young bat speed, lots going on now to impact timing and will have to simplify swing down the road as the pitching gets better. Nice young athlete. Good student.
