2018 PG Top Prospect Games at Maryland
Troy Schreffler is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Harrisburg, PA who attends Central Dauphin High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with long strides and high energy actions, long arm action through the back with effort at release, creates extension out front with carry on throws, athleticism plays and works on top of the ball with solid arm strength and accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow; strides on line with gliding trigger for timing. Loose and quick hands in swing, uncoils well and shows best contact and jump when working on a linear plane. Swung it well in game with loud, hard contact off the barrel, works the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort and handles the barrel well with occasional leverage. Good student.
