Cooper Priestley is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Xaverian. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, gains some ground coming out of crouch and gains ground, remains upright and can finish over front side still, receives the ball out front, longer arm action on throws, clean release with online throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow in the box; utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger, occasionally late getting it down with timing. Does a nice job of staying direct with hands, shows looseness to hands and stays compact through the zone. Able to work to all parts of the field with occasional lift, mostly linear through the zone with a handle for the barrel. Excellent student.
