Charles Cardell is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Norwood, PA. Medium, athletic build with a lean and projectable frame with room to continue to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a short arm action coming through the back side with present strength on throws. Uses a crow hop to gain momentum into throws, accurate throws around the base, getting on top of throws will help increase carry. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a high back elbow. Calm hand set, upper body swing with a short path to the ball, looks to lift in swing plane, hits to all fields with a contact approach. Good bat speed, has ability to go with outer half pitch to opposite field. Very good student.
