Freddy Giovanelli is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Manhasset, NY who attends Manhasset Secondary. Young, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to add additional strength. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and shows quick footwork moving to the ball. Shows balance through actions, some effort at release with strength that will continue to develop, accurate throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open and wide stance, closes moving into swing and stays balanced throughout. Long load, upper body swing with a line drive swing plane and short path to the ball. Shows a nice feel for the barrel and solid contact skills, uses hands and generates contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Excellent student.
