Jordan Medellin is a 2022 SS/RHP, C with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Bay Area Christian. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Quick-twitch posted a 6.75 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and shows feel for actions, stays low on approach and fields the ball out front, softness to hands working into a tighter release point, quick transfer, shows carry across the diamond. Switch-hitter, more refined from lefthanded box at present, creates some whip with a longer path through point of contact, employs an all fields approach with looseness and fluidity, projects with additional strength. Longer path from the right side with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, shows bat-to-ball skills with a linear path. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Baylor.
