Shawn Martin is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View. Large frame with solid athletic present build, good projection for additional strength. Pitches from 3/4 slot, good uptempo delivery with balance, consistently works down in zone with all pitches and shows good arm speed. Fastball worked 78-82 topping out at 83 MPH, pounds FB downhill to both sides of the plate, able to generate weak contact with the pitch. Generates good plane to plate. Quick worker on the mound who attacks hitters with FB's. Showed quality feel for sharp 12/6 CB with good depth. Flashed straight CH at 70 MPH with good deception and velocity differential from the FB. Able to miss bats as well as get weak contact with all 3 pitches. Good student.
