Blade Steelman is a 2019 SS/UT with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends McCallie School. Recorded a 7.19 second 60-yard dash time. Shorter frame with a lean and athletic build. Primary shortstop who moves well with quick feet and solid glove skills. Developing arm strength with a quick exchange. Good athlete and shows well at the position. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple side step into a simple leg lift. Drop and drive actions through the lower half with a slight coil over the back leg. Medium arm circle with a compact three-quarters arm slot. True life on the fastball and pounded the strike zone. Mixed in 11/5 breaking ball. Righthanded hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance. Simple shift into contact. Loose path to contact with a lifted barrel plane. Up the middle and opposite field approach. Works over the inside well with a high hand set and high back elbow. Good student.
