Marco Meleo is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ. Meleo has a lean build with room to fill out. Hits from a slightly open stance. Hands load and work well to the ball, shows a quick bat with extension through swing. Has line drive swing plane with lift. Showed power to pull gap during games and will develop more power with more lower half. Creates good backspin line drives. Defensively, moves well with good actions to and through the ball, feet work well, compact arm action and get son top of the ball well. Throws are accurate and online. Also pitched. Long arm action to a 3/4 arm slot. Good command of two pitches, fastball up to 75 wit a smooth low effort delivery. Deceptive with sinking fastball due to ability to throw an 11/5 curveball for strikes. Good Student.
