Justin Cassella is a 2020 SS/RHP, C, OF with a 6-2 198 lb. frame from Bernardsville, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame with additional room to fill. Quick-twitch, ran a 6.78 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and works through the backhand well, extra step moving through release, shows carry on throws when on time with release, shows ability to drop slot with intent and repeats fielding mechanics, arm strength plays. Righthanded hitter, begins with a bent knee stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; limited shift through lower half moving into contact. Swings with intent and looks to impact at point of contact, generates present bat speed, employs a short stride with lower half. Projects with additional extension to swing, keeps hands inside the ball and looks to lift at point of contact. Very good student. Named to the Northeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
